Based in the centre of Altrincham, the Hub is a community centre for everyone...
it’s your community, your place
The Hub is a partnership between Trafford Council and Altrincham Baptist Church, providing a community space for Trafford residents. We hope you find it a welcoming place to relax; a place to be empowered, listened to and valued. A place to connect with others and make friendships as well as a place to learn, to be supported, and 'to be part of something.'
In ‘normal’ times the centre is a hive of activity, with groups and classes provided for everyone from tiny tots through to seniors. Toddler groups, language classes, exercise groups, after school clubs, retiree groups, parenting support groups and debt counselling and support are just some of the activities that keep us busy throughout the week. Our cafe, open Tuesday to Friday, welcomes you to sit and relax, enjoying a selection of homemade meals and cakes.
The backbone of the Hub is the wonderful community of volunteers, who provide so much of their time, skills and energy to support our activities. Without them, very little would be achievable! If you are interested or would like to know more about the various volunteering opportunities at the Hub, have a quick look at our volunteering page here.
Right now, we are getting to grips with re-opening safely as a COVID-secure space, as well as acting as the Altrincham Community Response Hub, supporting the community at this time. We’re delivering foodbank parcels, supporting residents with shopping and prescription collection and making wellbeing calls to those who are isolated.
